Daily safety management 4.2.2.1 This approach affects all Saint-Gobain’s businesses and endeavors to place safety at the heart of the corporate culture. The reporting and processing of safety events are as follows for events leading to injuries. Other events, such as “near misses” and dangerous situations, are handled locally (reporting, analysis of causes, archiving, consolidation, communication).

All Fatalities are systematically notified to the Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain, to the ExCom members and the CEOs of the country and business.

The event is reported to site management. It is analyzed by the local team in order to implement immediate corrective actions.

The event is recorded in the Group's central database (GAIA) and classified according to its rules (lost and non-lost time accident, Saint-Gobain work-related or not, type of treatment).

0/)'#(F2.&) Further analysis of the event (depending on its severity, its frequency, and its consequences) is carried out by local teams using the “6M/5 Why's” method to identify the root causes (technical, human and organizational factors) and define an action plan. V

At Group level, implementation of all improvements and corrective actions needed to reduce risks; new standards proposal; lessons learned shared with all sites.
