Human rights policy 6 EMPLOYMENT POLICY ENHANCING THE GROUP’S DEVELOPMENT ■
6.2.2 Being a responsible and ethical ordering party and business partner The respect for human rights is a responsibility that La Poste Groupe applies to its suppliers, service providers and subcontractors with which it has an established business relationship, and to the employees of these companies. ■ ensure that the services or products are produced or manufactured in conditions that respect the fundamental rights of individuals and communities, and are safe for end users;
■ take appropriate measures, in consultation with the company concerned , in the event of a report of a situation contrary to respect for human rights on a postal site, against a staff member, or on a site of an external company. Group companies may formulate Responsible Purchasing Charters adapted to the specificities of their field of activity or the regions in which they operate , which specify their requirements in terms of human rights protection. This is the case of La Banque Postale and GeoPost , whose charter is being incorporated into the contractual framework of its subsidiaries. La Poste Groupe gives itself the opportunity to verify the proper implementation of these commitments through operational controls or audits. In the event of a breach of these principles, a corrective action plan is defined and implemented jointly with the partner. In the event of serious human rights violations, La Poste may trigger an early termination of the contractual relationship . Respect for human rights is included by La Poste Groupe in the analysis and assessment of its partnership operations and mergers and acquisitions .
It undertakes not to exert any pressure on them that could lead them to derogate from human rights and fundamental freedoms. These principles are included in the contractualisation system. The Responsible Purchasing Policy of La Poste reflects the group’s desire to act as a responsible ordering party. In order to ensure the operational implementation of its commitments, the Responsible and Ethical Purchasing Charter (1) specifies the reciprocal human rights commitments between the group and its suppliers. These commitments concern all stages of the contractual relationship and the provision of services, in France and abroad. ■ respect, promote and implement the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights , the United Nations Global Compact and its guiding principles, the OECD guiding principles and the ILO fundamental conventions; ■ comply with legislation in terms of working hours, compensation, training, trade union rights and freedom of association, the fight against illegal or undeclared work; ■ respect for the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples and communities; ■ not practice any form of discrimination and promote equal professional treatment; La Banque Postale and its subsidiaries integrate human rights issues in their business policies . La Banque Postale is a signatory of the Principles for a responsible bank , the Principles for responsible investment , the Principles for responsible insurance and the Equator Principles . In terms of investment and financing , La Banque Postale has set up a Responsible Financing and Investment Charter and stringent exclusion policies covering certain countries, companies and organisations. They apply in the event of serious and repeated violation of the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, international codes and conventions or in the event of non-respect of trade union freedoms or the fundamental human rights of employees, subcontractors and suppliers. In its asset management activities , La Banque Postale Asset Management promotes human rights and gender equality. The group and its suppliers thus undertake to:

In its responsible investment strategy, CNP Assurances carries out its transactions, within its various asset classes, within the framework of the Principles for responsible insurance and Principles for responsible investment (2) , of which it is a signatory. For its socially responsible investment (SRI) funds, La Banque Postale (3) selects companies that are committed to human rights and gender equality . It excludes all issuers suspected of serious or repeated violations of the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. The LBPAM SRI Human Rights solidarity savings fund excludes from its investments all companies involved in activities considered harmful to human rights, as well as those facing serious controversies over human rights, workers’ rights or corruption .
