The gain is equivalent to the gain in primary energy (-20%), a 5% improvement on 2016. The re-evaluation of the Energy Performance Certificates for 20 residential buildings, providing a more realistic picture of consumption, and thus indirectly emissions, explains this decrease in emissions. In 2017, 36% of the residential surface area met the 44 kgCO 2 /m2 target set for 2020. In order to make a marked improvement in this portion of the property portfolio, capital spending plans to 2022 have been taken into consideration and are expected to positively affect the residential carbon impact.
