Eurazeo Corporate Social Responsibility CSR Strategy
Methodology, integrationand results ofthe analysis Collection of information The first phase, consisting in finding and gathering information, is carried out during the identification phase. This phase includes documentary research based on reports, sector and thematic benchmarks and press articles on the sector of activity and on competitors. It also relies on documents made available via the data room, where applicable. Depending on the issues identified, more in-depth research is carried out in the formof interviewswith experts and managers,due diligence conductedby externalfirms, and site audits. Analysisand perspective The careful appraisal of a target acquisition in respect of CSR issues increase the ability to forge strong convictions in the selection of investments. The objectiveis to analyzethe target companyfrom three angles: the performanceof the target companyitself; • the positioning of the Company in relation to its business sector • and its competitors; the stakeholderperspective. • This analysis is used to identify the most significant CSR issues and opportunities and the Company's performance in this respect.
Restitution to stakeholders The CSRanalysesare submittedto three of the mainstakeholders: the investment team in charge of the acquisition to determine the • areas for improvement; the InvestmentCommitteeto enlightenits decision-making; • the company’s management – if the acquisition is completed – to • draw up the CSR action plan. Monitoringand roll-outof action plans During the acceleration phase, an action plan is drawn up with the Company. It is prepared on the basis of the elements identifiedduring the identificationphase, plus the essential commitmentsunderpinning the CSR roadmaprecommendedby Eurazeo (seeSection 3.3). To monitor the roll-out of the action plans, Eurazeo organizes one to three yearly meetings with each portfolio company. The number of meetingsdepends on the materialityof the challengesthat must be addressed. Valueenhancement During the divestment phase and depending on the materiality of the issues, an overview is carried out to measure progress achieved since the acquisition.
