DECLARATION ON EXTRA-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE Social responsibility: an integral part of the Group’s strategy
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ITS HOST COUNTRIES The Group’s operationshave a considerableeconomicand social impact on its host communities. Groupe PSA is aware of its responsibility in this area. On this basis: it selects its suppliers from amongst those closest to its n production plants, in line with its social and environmental guidelines . By increasingits percentageof local purchasesin a responsibleway, the Group is demonstratingthat its operations support the sustainable economic development of its host regions andcountries; it supports the most vulnerable populations in its host n communities via its CompanyFoundationwhich funds initiatives that integratepeoplethroughmobilityand access to education. In this way, the Groupmarks its commitmentto serve its host communities .
DRAWING ON ALL ITS TALENTS AND CREATING THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT FOR SUCCESS Groupe PSA economic performance is bound up with its workforce-relatedperformance.The aim is to pool energiesto end up as the winning team. The Group relies on the quality of its relations with its employee representativesto design innovative solutionsand buildtrust and commitment . Since2006,in orderto supportits globalexpansionand the efficientimplementationof its social commitment,it has used the Global FrameworkAgreement on SocialResponsibilityas its reference framework. Across all its sites, Groupe PSAis rolling out the principlesof this reference framework, in response to its employmentissues. The Group: draws on long-standing employee relations, taking a n co-constructionapproach with employee representatives, in orderto shareits strategyandprovidesecurecareerpathsfor its employees via negotiatedprovisionsandclosesupport; reiteratesthe need to guaranteeworkplacehealth and safety n andto developwell-being in the workplace; considersthe expressionand developmentof talent to be the n cornerstone of its strategy; guarantees equal opportunities based on the recognition of n individualmerit; extendsto its suppliersand partnersits commitmentto respect n fundamentalHuman Rights ; encouragesall employeesto complywith its Codeof Ethics and n its professionalconductrules.
Groupe PSACSR policy is both a collective and individual commitmentand the Group ensures that its principles are taken into consideration in all operationaldecisions
Dialogue with the Group’s stakeholders DPEF.32 2.1.3.
The Group– a playercommittedto the local communitieswhere it operates– has maintainedsolid relationswith all of its stakeholders for many years: employees,customers,shareholdersand investors, suppliers, government and industry bodies, NGOs and local administrations (seeCSR Report – 1.2.1.3 and9.2). These regular discussions with stakeholders enable social, environmental or economic challenges and risks to be better identifiedand influence the Group’s response to sociologicaland technologicalchangesin society. Stakeholders’dialoguewas used to feedthematerialitymatrixof the CSR issues below.
In 2018, the Group’s Chairman of the ManagingBoard started a seriesof one to one dialogueswith high level expertson the seven megatrendsthat will shape the futureof mobility,of which climate change, sharing economy, connectivity, etc.The aim of these dialogues is to help building the future strategic plan of the Company.All dialoguesare filmed to be transparentlybroughtto the public.The seveninterviewsof this initiativeare availableon the flipbook #aCoffeeWithCarlosTavares: http://www.groupe-psa.com/dialogue7megatrends/en/ The dialogue between Carlos Tavares and the civil society will pursue in 2020, in a different form, around the following theme: “freedomof movement in a zero-carbonworld”.
