5.1 IMPROVING CLIMATE RESILIENCE Ambition By intensively reducing the GHG footprint of the group’s activities and contributing to carbon sequestration projects outside its value chain, its ambition is to achieve “Net zero emissions” (3) by 2040, driven by the group’s various entities. This ambition is illustrated in particular by the deployment by 2025 of urban logistics ensuring low-emission delivery in 350 cities in Europe.

With regard to the banking and insurance activities, this ambition is materialised through the Net Zero Banking Alliance initiative, which aims to accelerate the reduction of the emissions generated by financing and investment portfolios (4) .
