Groupe La Poste // CSR REPORT 2022
Acting in favour of ageing well 3 PROMOTING SOCIAL INTEGRATION ■
3.2 ACTING IN FAVOUR OF AGEING WELL For several years, La Poste has been mobilising for the well-being and health of seniors . Since 2018, it has been providing home meals for the elderly and isolated people. It delivered more than 3 million meals in 2022. Since 2016, La Poste has been working to maintain social ties with the elderly with the “Veiller sur mes parents” (Watch over my parents) offer supported by postmen. La Poste is also developing know-how in the field of health in all its business units:
Thus, La Poste is positioning itself as a global operator of the patient pathway, based on three areas of development:
■ services dedicated to care providers; ■ prevention and home care;
■ home healthcare and the simplification of patient pathways. The transformation of service-sector buildings into non medicalised senior residences is part of the group’s development in prevention and support for autonomy. An agreement signed by La Poste Immobilier in October 2020 with real estate partners will make it possible to build a first series of serviced senior residences in the heart of the city (Brest, Châteauroux, Saint-Étienne, Auch, Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Amiens). The buildings transformed and delivered by 2025 will bring many benefits to make life easier for residents (easier social life, direct access to La Poste services, presence of a postman manager for certain residences). The role of health in La Poste Groupe’s strategy is described in Section 1.1.4 “Strategic priorities” (p. 24 et seq. ; p. 39, 40 and 52) and Section 1.2.5.2 “Serviced senior residences” (p. 75) of the URD. See the indicator used within the framework of being a company with a mission “Number of beneficiaries of support services for the elderly and vulnerable”, in the 2022 report of the Mission Committee , pages 10-11 and 22.
■ La Banque Postale is the leading financier of public hospitals; ■ Docaposte is the leading healthcare data host in France; ■ In 2022, La Poste launched “My medicines at home”, an application recently listed within Mon Espace Santé , to provide a delivery service for medicines by postmen, including in the most remote regions; ■ Chronopost has structured a Healthcare division specialising in the logistics of temperature-controlled products (drugs, blood products, etc.); ■ La Poste has also strengthened its service offering to facilitate the patient pathway with the acquisition of Happytal in 2022, the French leader in services and the digitisation of the hospital pathway. Present throughout France, with nearly 62,000 postmen in daily contact with the French, La Poste wishes to act alongside local players in health and local autonomy by contributing its ability to reach out to the population to promote prevention and general interest causes.
