6 EMPLOYMENT POLICY ENHANCING THE GROUP’S DEVELOPMENT ■
Ambitions La Poste is evolving in an environment undergoing profound transformation. At a time when everything is accelerating, the success of any sustainable transformation, focused on the future, is rooted in people. In this respect, the HR function plays a major role in anticipating and taking action to facilitate the completion of projects while ensuring that the fundamentals are maintained. This work is also made possible thanks to the quality of the social dialogue and the permanent commitment of the trade unions to advance the group’s HR policies. The group’s approach is essential to build the overall performance beneficial to all stakeholders and to guarantee the Company’s sustainability. To enable everyone to fully occupy their role and to facilitate future transitions, the group’s HR Department wanted to update the group’s HR policies jointly with the business units’ HR departments. The aim is for everyone, including employees, managers and HR, as well as external stakeholders, to have a common understanding of the meaning of the group’s actions and the values that link everyone together, the foundation of the group’s collective success. The group affirms its primary responsibility to protect, respect and promote human rights in all its activities. Faced with unprecedented changes in its environment, the group is implementing an ambitious and meaningful human resources policy that offers professional development for each of its employees. This policy aims to provide concrete benchmarks and tools for a successful and rapid transformation of the historical business lines and for the development of new activities . The strategic plan “La Poste 2030, committed for you” must prepare the group to support customers in the face of major transitions: digital, environmental, regional and demographic. The status of a company with a mission, adopted by La Poste in June 2021, reinforces its actions in terms of positive impact on society. Each of these challenges is driven by the human resources policies that mark the group’s commitment to its teams. Nearly 240,000 employees work every day in France and abroad to serve customers. To support employees in the transformation and strengthen their pride and commitment, an employee agreement “La Poste, committed with employees” was signed on 4 May 2021 with the representative trade unions. It represents an important step in the group’s societal commitment.
