2.3.3.3 Bulgaria As at the end of 2023, premium income from the Bulgarian subsidiaries Groupama Zastrahovane and Groupama Zhivotozastrahovane amounted to €48 million, including €30 million in property and casualty insurance. Croatia Premium income in Croatia totalled €8 million at the end of 2023, most of which was generated in retirement savings. 2.3.3.4
2.3.3.1 Hungary The Hungarian market was up +14.5% in non ‑ life insurance and down -9.7% in life insurance at the end of September 2023. Groupama Biztosito generated premium income of €493 million as at 31 December 2023 via a highly diversified distribution network of branches, banking partnerships, brokers, and online enrolment sites. As at 31 December 2023, premium income was €257 million in property and casualty insurance, €146 million in retirement savings, and €89 million in health and protection insurance. Romania The Romanian market was up +11% in life insurance and +20% in non ‑ life insurance at the end of September 2023. Groupama Asigurari generated premium income of €826 million as at 31 December 2023, driven in equal amounts by bancassurance, brokers, independent agents, and the direct network. Property and casualty insurance represents the bulk of business with premium income of €786 million. 2.3.3.2 Groupama’s premium income for countries in Central and Eastern Europe amounted to €1,375 million as at 31 December 2023. The Group holds leading positions in Romania and Hungary.

OVERSEAS TERRITORIES
Gan Outre ‑ Mer remains one of the major insurance players in the Pacific (New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna), with premium income of €75 million as at 31 December 2023, including €65 million from property and casualty insurance.

CHINA
In China, the joint venture premium income reached €433 million as at 31 December 2023.
2.4 FINANCIAL BUSINESSES
2.4.1 GROUPAMA ASSET MANAGEMENT
The management quality and the performance of its funds were recognised again in 2023. The European Funds Trophy recognised Groupama Asset Management as the top management company in Europe in the category of 41 to 70 rated funds for the fifth consecutive year. Equities and Convertible Bond management was rewarded again this year, reflecting its expertise in the French and international equity segments.
Groupama Asset Management, a subsidiary dedicated to asset management, is ranked number 7 among French asset management companies (AFG ranking – December 2022). Group assets under management totalled €102.4 billion as at 31 December 2023, including more than 30% on behalf of external customers. In 2023, Groupama Asset Management expanded its offering with the launch of a thematic fund on health and well ‑ being, G Fund – Health & Wellness, classified as an Article 9 according to the SFDR. It also strengthened its presence in Europe with the opening of a branch in Romania and the arrival of a distribution Manager in Milan.
