*Heating/cooling DDU adjusted for property portfolio (see reporting protocol on the Gecina website http://www.gecina.fr/en/csr/reporting-ecosystem.html).
Energy costs for residential portfolio amount to €4,001,584 or €9.7/sq.m. 20 residences, including five student residences, representing 40% of the surface area of Gecina's residential portfolio, had their energy performance diagnosis updated, as the period for which they were valid had expired. 18 of these new EPCs helped lower the average consumption of the buildings concerned, resulting in a reduction of 3% compared to the total energy consumption measured last year. Two CPCU sub-stations were renovated in 2017 for the Auguste-Lançon and Saint Didier residences, located in the 13th and 16th arrondissements of Paris respectively. The benefits of this work are already measurable at the Saint Didier building, its consumption having fallen 22% in 2017.
Action plans were defined in 2017 to improve the energy performance of Gecina's residential properties. To reduce the energy consumption of wholly-owned residences, three scenarios were studied, and confirm attainment of the 2020 targets.

The residential portfolio has not changed since 2016 which explains the stability of the energy ranking for this part of the portfolio. 25% of the assets hold an A, B or C label and are therefore above the national objective of 150 kWhPE/sq.m/year set for 2020.
