Strategy
In recent years, Saint-Gobain has undertaken a major transformation thanks to the implementation of the “Transform & Grow” plan, in order to build a stronger, more agile and “multi-local” Group, close to its customers and markets. All employees around the world now share the same ambitious purpose : “Making the world a better home”, which guides their daily actions and is a permanent call to action (see chapter 1, section 2.2.1). Collectively, they are now opening a new chapter in the Group’s history. For Saint-Gobain, the economic climate is favorable and all eyes are on the construction and industrial sectors, whose contribution will be essential to tackling the global challenges of climate change, depletion of resources and rampant urbanization. In the context created by these challenges and opportunities (see in this chapter, section 1.1.1), and based on the fundamentals of the Group’s identity (see chapter 1, section 2.2), Saint-Gobain has formulated a clear vision: to be the worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, which improves everyone’s daily life thanks to its high performance solutions (see in this chapter, section 2). This vision is embodied in a strategic plan unveiled in November 2021: “Grow & Impact” (see section 3).
