SVHS are chemical substances that fall into one of the following categories: substances that are carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction, persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic substances, very persistent and very bioaccumulative substances, substances that can disrupt the endocrine system. Severity rate of workplace accidents: number of days lost as a result of accidents multiplied by one thousand, divided by the number of hours worked (including temporary staff). A thermoplastic material is one that softens (we sometimes observe fusion) repeatedly when heated above a certain temperature, but which becomes hard again below that temperature. Polymer that hardens under heat. The constituting molecules connect to each other, making the polymer more rigid.
