Share capital and voting rights 7.2.1.

The issuedcapitalamountedto €904,828,213at 31 December2019. It was dividedinto904,828,213 shares witha par valueof €1, all fully paid-upand of the same class. The sharesare held in registeredor bearer form,at the shareholder’s choosing.

In compliancewith Article 223-11of the AMF General Rules and Regulations, the following chart analyses potential voting rights outstanding, which include rights attached to shares held in treasury. These potential voting rights are the ones used in determining when statutory disclosure thresholds have been exceeded.

A free share plan was set up on 10 April 2017 by the Managing Board, in view of the authorisationsgiven at the Extraordinary GeneralMeetingof 27 April2016 and by the SupervisoryBoardon 22 February2017. The arrangementsare detailedin Note 6.2to the 2018Consolidated Financial Statementsand in Section 3.2above.
