3.4.1 Risk mapping related to the duty of vigilance

Methodology for risk mapping related to the duty of vigilance Orano has drawn up a speci fi c risk mapping related to the duty of vigilance. This risk mapping is part of the existing risk management and control systems (for more information on these systems, see Sections 3.1 and 3.2) and fed into the materiality analysis presented in Chapter 4 of this report. It was reviewed by the vigilance committee and validated by the group’s governance bodies. The scope of the duty of vigilance risk mapping covers the group’s own activities, as well as those of its subcontractors and suppliers with whom it has an established commercial relationship as part of its value chain. The methodology followed is based on three steps: ● the identi fi cation of risks related to the duty of vigilance consists in identifying situations likely to cause serious harm to the health and safety of individuals, the environment, as

well as human rights and fundamental freedoms. This step is based on internal data and the contributions of identi fi ed stakeholders within the group; ● the risk assessment aims to analyze the potential impact of these risks on individuals and the environment, on the one hand, and their likelihood of occurrence, on the other hand, prior to the implementation of mitigation and prevention measures: ● the impact is assessed in light of the severity, scope, and reversible or irreversible nature of the harm if the risk occurs, ● the probability is estimated based on expert judgement and supplemented by an ESG index provided by an independent body specializing in risk assessment; ● the prioritization of risks results from the cross-referencing of impact and probability assessments, thus making it possible to determine a gross risk level and to identify priority risks as opposed to non-priority risks.

Results of the risk mapping related to the duty of vigilance Priority gross risks resulting from the risk mapping exercise

At the end of its risk mapping exercise, Orano identi fi ed priority gross risks in the three categories covered by the duty of vigilance: health and safety of individuals, the environment, and human rights and fundamental freedoms.

These priority gross risks are presented in the risk mapping visual below. For each of these risks, Orano indicates the stakeholders who would, where applicable, be impacted by their occurrence.
