Dependencies on ecosystem services
GBS Dependencies (to come)
The work carried out has thus led to the identi fi cation of a material risk directly related to the “land-use change” issue. Other IROs identi fi ed, associated with dependencies on regulating services (climate and water) or contributions to climate, water, and pollution pressure factors, are dealt with directly in these Sections and
are not included here (Sections 4.2.1, 4.2.1 and 4.2.4). The other challenges speci fi c to biodiversity (invasive alien species, impacts on the state of species, impacts on the extent and condition of ecosystems) are non-material.

RISK OF ADDITIONAL COSTS OR RESTRICTIONS RELATED TO BIODIVERSITY AND NATURE PROTECTION
FUTURE RISK
Strengthening regulations aimed at preserving biodiversity may lead to restrictions on operations or permits. The group may be exposed to fi nancial risks due to increasingly stringent regulations and/or requirements for nature protection, including rehabilitation, or reputational damage in the event of damage to biodiversity. Orano operates in biodiversity-sensitive areas or close to sensitive areas. Within 10 years, stricter regulations aimed at preserving biodiversity and ecosystems could change the group’s operating conditions and therefore its costs and revenue.
