ENERGY CONSUMPTION (IN MWH) ■

Natixisrecordeda 4% reductionin the energyconsumptionof its buildingsin 2017 (vs. an increasein 2016). Since November 2015,Natixis’ buildings have run on “green” electricity,i.e. fromfully renewablesourcesof energy,pursuantto the terms of its energy supply contractwith ENGIE. This energy sourceis guaranteedby the supplierand certified(AlpEnergie’Pure 2015).

Consumption of raw materials The raw material used the most at Natixis is paper (reams, envelopes, desktop publishing, internal and external printouts, etc.). All paper used by Natixis is sustainableforest management-certified(FSC (1) and PEFC (2) certifications)and some is made from recycled fibers.

Everydayconsumptionby employees(reamsof paper, letterhead paper) is steadily falling. General installation of multi-function printers offering the “my print” function, combined with awareness-raising initiatives, has positively contributed to this trend. In desktoppublishing,paper consumptionwas stable (173 metric tons in 2016 versus172 metrictons in 2015). Several Natixis business lines have taken steps to optimize or reducepaper consumptionon behalf of customers: Natixis Intertitreswas the first player on the payment voucher a market to use 100% recycled paper to print its Chèque de Table ® restaurant vouchers and accompanying documents. It has also offered a restaurantvoucher card, Apetiz, since 2014. Apetiz is a more eco-friendlyand sustainableprepaid payment solution with a three-year validity period, which reduces the quantityof packagingand numberof deliveries;

As part of the digital transformation of its services, Natixis a Interépargne launched its e-statements and 100% of its processing of employee incentives and profit-sharing is now paperless. It will be extending these services to all its customersvia its PremiumDigitaloffer; Launchedin 2015, the Centre d’Expertiseet de RelationClient a (CERC – Center for Expertise and Customer Relations) in Villeneuve d’Ascq has decided to go paperless by developing an entirelydigitalmanagementprocess. Employee training and awareness-raising Regular communication raises employee awareness of sustainable development in an effort to reduce their impact on the environment,with communicationcampaigns on workplace eco-gestures.In 2017, severalarticleswere publishedvia internal communicationmedia (Intranet,magazine,etc.) and eventswere held for staff duringSustainableDevelopmentWeek.
