An alumnus of the elite École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) with degrees from Stanford Graduate School of Business (Executive Program), ESSEC and Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris, Nicolas Namias began his career in 2004 in the Treasury Department of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. He was first tasked with preparing for the international financial summits of the G8 and G20, before being named as the Government’s Substitute Commissioner to the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF). In 2008, he joined the Finance division of BPCE Group, then became Head of Planning for Commercial Banking and Insurance. In 2012, he was named Technical Advisor to the Prime Minister for the funding of the economy, businesses, and international economic affairs. Nicolas Namias returned to BPCE Group in 2014 as Head of Strategic Planning at Natixis and a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, he has coordinated all acquisitions carried out by Natixis since 2014. In September 2017, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategic Planning, and as a member of the Natixis Executive Management Committee. In June 2018, Nicolas Namias was appointed as a member of the BPCE Management Board member in charge of Finance, Strategy, Legal Affairs and the Secretary’s Office of the Supervisory Board. From November 2018 to August 2020, he has been a BPCE Management Board Member in charge of Finance and Group Strategy. Since August 3, 2020, Nicolas Namias has been Chief Executive Officer of Natixis. He also retains his office as a member of the BPCE Management Board.
