Professional Background Gilles Schnepp began his career began at Merrill Lynch France where he became Vice Chairman. He joined Legrand* in 1989 as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He became Company Secretary of Legrand France in 1993, Chief Financial Officer in 1996 and Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Gilles Schnepp has been a Director of the Company since 2002, and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2006. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to February 7, 2018. Gilles Schnepp has also been Chairman of the French Federation of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Industries (FIEEC) since July 2013, and Director of Saint-Gobain*, member of the Executive Board of Medef and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Commission for the Ecological and Economic Transition since 2018.
