5.3.2.3 Commitments to purchase property, plant and equipment Commitments to purchase property, plant and equipment amounted to €24.1 million as of December 31, 2018.

5.3.3 Contingent liabilities The Group is involved in a number of claims and legal proceedings arising in the normal course of business. In the opinion of management, all such matters have been adequately provided for, knowing that no provision is recorded for claims and legal proceedings for which the Group considers that the provision recognition criteria are not met in regards to IFRS. On September 6, 2018, Legrand was raided, while fully cooperating with the relevant authorities.
