IN ASSETS The rights of use pertaining to the operating properties appear in Note 6 –Operatingproperties.The rights of use pertainingto other property,plant and equipmentappear in Note 13 –Other property, plant and equipment. Notes 6 and 13 show the opening inventories,changesduring the fiscal yearaffectingthe gross value, depreciation, and the net book value, as well as the closing inventories. IN THE INCOME STATEMENT Financial expenseson rental liabilities are shown on a separate line in Note 44 – Financing expenses. Rents on short-term leases and low-value property are shown in Note 39 – Operating Expenses on the “External expenses” line.

It should be noted that during the fiscal year, the Group did not recogniseany expense relating to variable rent paymentsnot taken into accountin the valuation of the rental obligation. Similarly,no profits or losses resultingfrom a leasebacktransaction were recognised. The cash flow statement includes cash flows related to lease agreements. OFF-BALANCE SHEET COMMITMENTS (NOTE 48) Property leases excludedfrom the scope of IFRS 16,becausethey are short-term leases (mainly automaticallyrenewed leases during the implementationof the standardas of 1 January2019) appear in off-balance-sheet commitments at 31 December 2019 for the amount of rents remaining to be paid duringthe notice period.
