THE GROUP’S BUSINESSES INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE

Romania 2.3.4.2 The Romanianmarket was up +4% in life insurance and +1.6% in non-life insuranceat the endof September 2018. Groupama Asigurari generated premium income of €216 millionat 31 December 2018, driven in equal amounts by bancassurance, brokers, independentagents, and the direct network. Property and casualty insurance represents the bulk of business with premium income of €201 million. Bulgaria 2.3.4.3 At the end of 2018, premium income from the Bulgarian subsidiaries Groupama Zastrahovane and Groupama Jivotozastrahovaneamounted to €18 million, including €11 million in property andcasualty insurance.

GREECE

The Greek market recovered with growth of +2.6% in non-life insurance and an increase of +1.1% in life insurance as of 31 December 2018. The €139 millionin premium income as of 31 December2018 was generated mainly bybrokers andexclusive branches. Property and casualty insurance premium income was €86 million and representedmore than 60% of the business. In life and health insurance, Groupama Asfalistiki generated premium income of €52 million.

OVERSEAS TERRITORIES

Groupama’spremium income for countries in Central and Eastern Europe amounted to €589 million at 31 December 2018. The Group holdsleading positions in Hungaryand Romania. Hungary 2.3.4.1 The Hungarian market was up +12.2% in non-life insurance and +6.0% in life insurance at theend of September 2018. GroupamaBiztosito generatedpremium income of €355 millionas of 31 December2018 via a highly diversifieddistribution networkof branches, banking partnerships, brokers, and online subscription sites. At 31 December2018, life and health insurance represented €188 million, and property and casualty insurance represented €167 million.

Gan Outre-Mer remains one of the major insurance players in the Pacific (New Caledonia, French Polynesia,Wallis and Futuna), with premium income of €64 millionas of 31 December2018, including €55 million from property andcasualty insurance.

CHINA

In China, the Groupama AVIC joint venture continued to develop during 2018 and is now ranked second among foreign non-life insurerson theChinesemarket.Thepremiumincomegenerated in the six provincesamountedto €300million (1) as of 31 December2018.
