GREENING OF PLOTS IN THE PORTFOLIO IN BARE EARTH EQUIVALENTS (OR PER-AREA HABITAT COEFFICIENTS) R
Although the BAF of assets delivered in 2017 is lower level than for those delivered in 2016, the greenification of each project has been improved compared to its initial situation. In addition, in order to account for the entire effort undertaken by Gecina to boost biodiversity on the property portfolio assets, other indicators are being studied, similarly to the identification of the on-site presence of endemic, invasive or allergenic species. This indicator does not, however, represent all the work to reinforce biodiversity that Gecina has carried out on its assets. New indicators thus are being studied, such as the identification of the on-site presence of endemic, invasive or allergenic species. 7.4.3.1 Gecina has made it a priority to develop its assets close to public transportation (bus lines, subways, RER trains, tramways, trains and public bicycle rental stations) to improve both productivity and the well-being of the occupants of its buildings (see 7.3.1 “Productivity and well-being of client occupants”) and to limit the extended carbon footprint of its property portfolio by reducing the emissions generated from the commuting of occupants (see 7.5.1 “Carbon footprint”). Gecina therefore evaluates the percentage of the surface areas of its property portfolio located at less than 400 meters from public transportation infrastructures (i.e. less than 10 minutes of walking). To reduce its extended carbon footprint, Gecina has committed to offering the occupants of its buildings an additional alternative to public transportation to replace carbon-emitting means of transportation. Thus, since 2014, Gecina has been monitoring the proportion of its property portfolio that has access to alternative modes of transport: buildings with bicycle shelters, infrastructure for recharging electric vehicles and/or carpooling spaces. Average BAF of the property portfolio in operation Average BAF of properties delivered in the year Number of assets delivered during the year
The BAF, calculated for the entire residential and commercial property portfolio in operation during 2017, presents an average value of 50%, significantly up compared to 2016. This progress was due to work done to improve the quality of the green spaces at the residential properties (51% in 2017 against 47% in 2016). Excluding the assets currently being disposed, in particular one away from Paris center having a large vegetated area, the BAF of the portfolio reaches 32%. This value is slightly higher than the target of 25%, set for 2020. This target remains ambitious for an urban portfolio and the comprehensive assessment of the quality of the portfolio can only begin in 2018, given the analysis underway of Eurosic's vegetated areas. Depending on the results of the analysis, specific improvements will be identified.

At tenants’ request, Gecina offers the possibility of installing electric vehicle recharging stations in its office property assets. In 2017, the parking lot of the Porte de La Défense building began installation of 42 IRVE recharging stations that will be ready in the 1 st quarter of 2018. Thinking is in progress on opportunities to install these recharging terminals in the residential portfolio. Performance analysis 7.4.3.3 400 meters from a public transportation.
