Following tougher asbestos regulations and in the face of the complexity of certain actions, Gecina has appointed an outside expert to assist it since 2015. The expert inspects the sites concerned by level 1 & level 2 corrective actions and proposes implementation solutions. This process, combined with the participation of the operational departments, has had a strong impact on the improvement in performance in this area of risk over the last two years. Since 2017, elevators have been the object of enhanced monitoring resulting in an efficiency rate of 100%. The provisional dates of the various periodic checks and the list of reserves to be lifted across the property portfolio are available directly on the platform.

As regards lead in paints, the efficiency rate reached 100%, a markedly improved result compared to 2016. Gecina’s policy is more stringent than regulations since it applies the obligations that should be met for residential property to office property. The Group works, as soon as possible, on commercial premises containing Class 3 lead. In the area of fire, the performance recorded improved by 1.3 points compared to 2016. The parking space shared by 2 co-ownership assets, which did not meet the criteria of Gecina’s policy, is currently undergoing compliance work under the direction of the management agency.
