OPERATING SUBSIDIES

Operating subsidies mainly comprise the subsidy received or receivable by EDF in power, counterbalanced by higher market prices for electricity. Another factor is the respect of the Compensation for Public Energy Service Charges (CSPE). In the financial impact of discontinuation of the “basic necessity” (Tarif de première nécessité) rates statements, this compensation is reflected in income of €6,554 million for 2018 for electricity and the “special solidarity” (Tarifs spéciaux de solidarité) rates for gas: (€6,547 million for 2017).
