BEING A RESPONSIBLE GROUP IN ITS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PRACTICES

2020 HIGHLIGHT: MOBILIZATION IN SUPPORT OF ADIE The Banque Populaire network mobilized strongly in May 2020 to respond to the appeal launched by Adie (Association for the right to economic initiative), of which it is the leading financial partner, to support the recovery of entrepreneurs afterwards. the lockdown period: Banque Populaire contributed more than €1 million to the honorary loan fund and is the leading contributor to this plan. By mobilizing strongly, the Banque Populaire network confirms its commitment to the development of a sustainable and inclusive economy in the current crisis.

Promoting financial education: partnership with Finances et Pédagogie The Caisses d’Epargne support the Finances et Pédagogie association, which is rolling out an educational program targeting priority groups. https://www.finances-pedagogie.fr The objective is not only to provide support on recurrent topics involving money (managing a budget, relations with the bank, knowing how to talk about money, planning for life events, etc.), but also to address new challenges: digital money, sustainable development, professional retraining, setting up a business, sustainable consumption, etc. The two lockdowns suffered in 2020 and the effects induced by the various partners weighed on its activity (-30% of interns) but resulted in a strong increase in its ability to train remotely, i.e. nearly 20% of its activity. To face the current economic and social crisis, the association quickly redeployed to strengthen its remote intervention capacity, which represented 20% of its interventions at the end of 2020. In addition, in order to facilitate access to the rights granted by the government mechanisms for combating the effects of the crisis, both for individuals and professionals, all branches are deploying dedicated informationsessions for partners and target audiences. Lastly, in conjunction with sponsors, collective information and support initiatives are being developed for people made vulnerable by the crisis. Initiatives implemented and their results. In 2020, 2,292 sessions were held for 26,109 trainees. They • included: 10,471 young people from schools and vocational training – centers; 11,938 people receiving assistance from entities in the – social and solidarity-based economy or other social organizations; more than 499 social workers and volunteers, mainly from – the Social Services divisions of associations, guardianship organizations and local governments. All of these actions are concrete responses to the priorities of banking inclusion and the prevention of over-indebtedness.The initiatives take the form of workshops/training sessions that combine theoretical learning and practical experience: 36.5% covered everyday budgeting and money issues; •

53% covered banking and payment instruments; • and 10.5% covered issues related to credit, microloans and • excessive debt. Finances & Pédagogieworks closely with more than a thousand different public, private and non-profit partners all around the country. This figure, an indicator of partner loyalty, is constant despite the uncertainties of the current year. The association has set itself the goal of continuing and strengthening, in 2021, support for victims of the crisis, from individuals to entrepreneurs, by facilitating information and appropriationof governmentsupport mechanisms. It will also roll out programs for front-line players, particularly hospital staff. For more information: https://www.finances-pedagogie.fr/les-form- ations. Finances et Pédagogie is also a partner of the FNBP, which financed in 2020, via its endowment fund, the training of around thirty “ambassador” employees in charge of vulnerable customers. The FNBP supported its work to help it create a new module for vulnerable customers at the professional level (and not just private individuals). This response anticipates the foreseeable repercussions of the health crisis for many professionals. The association is a member of the Operational Committee for National Financial Education Strategy run by the Banque de France. Its educational materials are available on the Finances & Pédagogie website and are also published on the national portal “ Mes questions d’argent” (My questions about money). It is also approved by the French Ministry of Education and has been designated a socially responsible company. Its key teaching materials are validated and incorporated in the educational library of the INC (French National Consumer Institute).
