BANQUE POPULAIRE AUVERGNE RHÔNE ALPES CREATES THE ENERGY TRANSITION BANK This structure, launched on September 15, 2020, is entirely dedicated to the collection of green savings and the financing of initiatives in favor of the energy transition in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region. It is organized around a fundamental issue: guaranteeing the traceability of the use of green savings towards identifiable energy transition projects. Its four strong commitments: traceability: the Energy Transition Bank guarantees the traceability of the use of green savings towards identifiable energy • transition projects; territoriality: all programs financed by savings are located in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region as well as Hautes-Alpes, • Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Corrèze; short financing circuit: the Banque de la Transition Énergétique (Energy Transition Bank) promotes links between savers and • energy project developers in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region; partnership approach: projects carried out in constant collaboration with all regional, private and public players in the energy • transition. This initiativewill build on the strength of the Banque PopulaireAuvergneRhône Alpes network, which is already very involved in the financing of energy renovation and renewable energies with more than one hundred million euros in loans granted throughout its territory. A dedicated team of experts has been set up, as well as an Advisory Committeewhose members are all players involved in the energy transition in the region; they will contribute their expertise to identify the financing needs of the sector and anticipate its rapid changes (storageh, ydrogen, smart grids, eco-mobility, eco-construction, etc.). The creation of the Energy Transition Bank, through its ability to collect green savings and the creation of a dedicated team, will greatly amplify this dynamic of taking environmental issues into account in the orientation of customer savings.
