IN THEIR INVESTMENTS Passbook savings accounts

Outstanding savings in CSLR accounts total €2 billion, invested by 92,382 customers who can ask to be informed of the projects financed by their savings. Crédit Coopératif, an expert in solidarity finance in France, has developed a range of products, AGIR, including a bank card and six solidarity savings accounts. The flagship product is the Livret AGIR, which donates 50% of accrued interest to one of the 25 beneficiary associations approved by the bank. In 2020, €2.6 million in donations were made via Crédit Coopératif solidarity-based products and Ecofi solidarity-based investment funds. With the Coopération pour ma région passbook savings account, savers can put their deposits to work in funding the social and solidarity-basedeconomy in the region of their choice. The REV3 account is used to finance projects in the Hauts de France region that are part of the third industrial revolution.

CODEVair is a Finansol-certified product distributed by the Banques Populaires, aimed at encouraging customers to put their savings into the energy transition. Launched in 1999 by the Banque Populaire d’Alsace, it is now distributed by eight Banques Populaires and Crédit Coopératif. At December 31, 2020, assets under management amounted to €2 billion. The inventory amounted to 37,583 projects financed for €483 million, notably low-energy housing and clean vehicles. The Compte sur Livret Régional (CSLR) passbook savings account, distributed by the 13 Caisses d’Epargne. Funds collected are used to finance local support and development initiatives. Each Caisse d’Epargne chooses to use the funds to finance digital development, healthcare or employment.

Off-balance sheet D&S Groupe BPCE offers a wide choice of SRI funds through its Banque Populaire, Caisse d’Epargne, Crédit Coopératif and Banque Palatine networks. The development and management of these funds is carried out by various asset managers: Banque Palatine, Ecofi (Crédit Coopératif Group) and affiliates of Natixis InvestmentManagers (NIM). Among these affiliates are Ostrum AM, Mirova, Seeyond, DNCA, Ossiam and Thematics. On the strength of these diverse areas of expertise, Groupe BPCE manages €134.62 billion in SRI funds at December 31, 2020. SUPPORTING BUSINESSES FROM CRAFTSMEN, FARMERS TO MULTINATIONALS IN THEIR INVESTMENTS Bringing craftspeople and SMEs towards sustainable development: a challenge for competitiveness In its loyal commitment to the SME and craftsmen market, Banque Populaire offers a special financing tool to aid them in their ecological transformation. This facility is used to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and manufacturingequipment. Beneficiaries can also address waste management problems or polluting discharges, or adopt renewable energy solutions. At December 31, 2020, 1,136 such projects had been financed for a total of €119 million. The Professional Multirisk contract insures the premises of professionalsand companieswhose green electricity production equipment is attached to the insured buildings (wind turbines with power of less than 20kW and solar collectors with a surface area of less than 300 m 2 ). The “damage to exterior fittings” option makes it possible to insure the same equipment even if it is not attached to the insured buildings.

Auto pro insurance (for professionals) also makes it possible to insure vehicles with a low environmental impact, such as electric vehicles, and rewards eco-responsible behavior. Carpooled passengers are automatically covered without the need to declare them. In the agriculture-viticulture sector, the Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne networks have set up service and financing offers for the agricultural transition to a more sustainablemodel, notably with counter-loans guaranteed by the European Investment Fund – INAF program (National Initiative for French Agriculture) as well as the regional offers Foster (Banques Populaires Occitane et Sud) and Alter’na (Banque Populaire ACA). 80% of these loans are guaranteed free of charge for the beneficiaries. In this way, €136 million were generated in projects promoting the installation and sustainable transition of operations, on the following themes: the development of additional revenues through the • installation of renewable energies; strengthening quality channels and short supply chains; • support for the transition to sustainable or organic farming; • investment programs to reduce energy and/or water • consumption. Financing companies through “green bonds” and “green loans” In 2020, Natixis arranged 34 green bond issue transactions, totaling €15.9 billion, confirming a solid position in this market, particularly in Europe. Natixis acted as Sole Green Structuring Advisor and Joint Bookrunner for the Engie green bond, in the amount of €2.5 billion. The funds will be used for the production of renewable energy, energy storage, transmissionand distribution infrastructures, energy efficiency, and CO 2 capture.
