APPLYING CSR IN THE ENTITIES, BUSINESS LINES AND PROCESSES NON-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE STATEMENT

CSR GOVERNANCE GROUP CSR GOVERNANCE

The purpose of the CSR department, which reports to the General Secretariat of BPCE Retail Banking and Insurance, is to: drive and manage the Group’s CSR policy and support all • banks in the deployment thereof; serve as a source of foresight, expertise, and innovation in • order to establish Groupe BPCE on markets relating to green growth; coordinate the implementation of special regulations and • propose adaptations in governance.

The Group’s CSR commitments are managed by a dedicated function within BPCE. The Group CSR Director reports directly to the Chairman of the Group’s Management Board. This management is carried out in conjunction with the Fédération Nationale des Banques Populaires and the Fédération Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne,which coordinateCSR policy within their respective networks, and in conjunction with the Natixis CSR department.

Definition of the green growth strategy (processes, benchmark, action plan). Development of expertise to serve the networks. Development of savings and solidarity-based financing. Contribution to inclusive finance mechanisms.

Coordination of CSR reporting and the Group/institution carbon review. Oversight and monitoring of the Group CSR approach. Dialog with ESG rating agencies, investors and NGOs. Coordination with the Human Resources department on the Responsible Employer component

Organization and oversight of sustainable development and CSR aspects for management projects and in the strategic plan. Regulatory, economic and technical watch. Communication and organization of CSR events. Participation in events organized by other Group departments.

Expansion of the forward-looking expertise and research approach to issues relating to the green economy and CSR, particularly in the economic and technological fields.

One function The BPA CSR department relies on a CSR division split between the central institution and its subsidiaries, regional banks and Group subsidiaries, including Natixis. It is involved in the various departments (Development, Risks, Logistics, Procurement, Digital divisions and the federations) to promote CSR culture and support the action taken by the CSR officers in each function. The CSR departments of each entity are responsible for setting out the Group’s commitments,managing their internal function, contributing to the implementationof CSR policies and ensuring the reliability of non-financial reporting. To lead the sector, the CSR department: organizes meetings or webinars on specific topics: •

extra-financial reporting, – green growth, – direct impacts, – certification. In 2020, the entities were able to participate in – a webinar dedicated to the BCorp label; organizes training sessions: • CSR fundamentals, – Carbon footprint, – Green IT/Responsible digital technology; – publishes a “Live Green and CSR” newsletter, a CSR watch • on the Group’s CSR publications on social networks, posts in the Yammer groups (CSR, Green Growth, Green IT, climate risks, sustainable finance); runs a dedicated intranet site. •
