BEING A RESPONSIBLE GROUP IN ITS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PRACTICES

Sustained social dialog at Groupe BPCE level Social dialog at Groupe BPCE level takes place through two bodies, committees and a forum: the Group Committee, a forum for information, discussion and • dialog, which met three times in 2020. The topics addressed included the economic situation, and the financial and social audit of the Group’s financial statements, prepared in advance by the economic and employment/training committees; the Strategic Committee, a body for sharing strategy planning • and vision; an economic and social forum was organized at the end of • 2020 to share lessons learned from the health crisis on a societal and social level. Most of the collective bargaining agreements signed in 2020 were the result of negotiations conducted locally with the Group companies. These agreements cover the following main topics: professional equality between men and women, mandatory annual negotiations, quality of life at work and in particular teleworking, and employees savings and retirement. Groupe BPCE has the characteristic of leading two professional divisions within it that are very active in social negotiations and professional training. It is worth noting the particularly intense and rich nature of the social dialog in this exceptional year, in view of the context of the health crisis and in particular on the subjects of risk prevention and support for employees. Improving quality of life in the workplace In 2020, companies’ adherence to the Cancer@work Charter continued with 22 signatory companies (20 in 2019). And three companies obtained the Cancer@Work certification: Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne, Crédit Foncier, and Banque Populaire Val de France. This initiative highlights their particular commitment to the “cancer, chronic diseases and work” initiative launched by the Group HR department in 2016 and their strong desire to implement practical actions to take cancer and chronic diseases into account in their policy at all levels. As an extension of Cancer@work, a guide designed by the Group for caregiver employees has been widely distributed by the companies. It supported the policies already implemented in 11 companiesof the Group to support caregiver employees. The Cap’Handéo caregiver certification obtained by Banque Palatine, and the signing of a collective agreement on caregiver employees by BPCE Infogérance & Technologies, underscore the quality of the systems and the importance attached to this issue within the Group.

Preventing occupational risks In order to ensure the safety and protect the health of employees, each company organizes the assessment of occupational risks, and targets appropriate preventive actions and solutions to address specific risks. The Single Occupational Risk Assessment Document (DUERP) lists and ranks the risks present and is thus a decisive tool in the prevention of occupational risks. Its accessibility to all and its updating in the case of an event or a significant change in health and safety or working conditions (human, technical or organizational transformation) is a guarantee of the effectiveness of the risk prevention policy. Each company must therefore conduct an overall analysis of all the risks to which employees are exposed. This assessment makes it possible to plan and implement the prevention actions formalized in the Annual Plan for the Prevention of Occupational Risks and the Improvement of Working Conditions (PAPRIPACT). Anxious to establish a culture of prevention to cope with regulatory and societal changes, at the level of the Group and each company, the Group has implemented: synergies between Prevention, Quality of Life at Work, and • Occupational Health and Safety, which are responsible actions that drive progress and contribute to Groupe BPCE’s overall performance; harmonization and centralization of prevention tools; • as well as the management of prevention indicators. • Within the Group, all companies have a CSE and a Health, Safety and Working Conditions Commission (CSSCT). One of their missions is to protect the health and safety of employees. Each CSE Committee oversees improvements in safety and working conditions as well as compliance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions. The policies and associated budgets for health and safety are the responsibility of each of the companies and CSE. According to the Caisse Nationale d’AssuranceMaladie (French national health insurance fund), 2020 was a record year for the decrease in claims. Groupe BPCE has registered a strong improvement in the number of workplace accident reports. In the context of the health crisis, efforts to adapt technology and organization in favor of remote working have largely contributed to this result.

Absenteeism among employees with permanent and fixed-term contracts due to workplace/commuting accidents during the year.

Absenteeism Absenteeism is a real concern for the Group and its companies. Thus, the Group provides companies with a dynamic dashboard enabling them to monitor absenteeism data and manage the policies implemented. The most recent evaluation of overall absenteeism (including maternity/paternity leave, illness, family events and other

reasons) remains close to 9% of which 1.4% is related to “Covid-19” pandemic. Since absenteeism rates include maternity leave, in a Group with a predominantly female workforce, it makes sense that the rate of absence is higher among women. The Group is not able to differentiate absences related specifically to occupational illness, which are rare in the banking sector.
